In talking with family members, friends, and co-workers lately, I find that we tend to talk about a variety of topics and spend very little time on what is seen on this forum. I'm pretty sure if you went through the last 4 pages or so of threads, you would find that 90% of the talk was either Coronavirus or BLM/Racism. It's like the only thing many of the posters here can talk about (in fact, it's a downright obsession). The other obsession seems to be just arguing and getting into pissing contests with as many people as they can. I suspect I could make a wager that at least 6 posters couldn't go a week without talking about one or the other and give odds, and I would win them all. Obviously trying to make that wager would be a waste of time as these posters would just create ghosts and continue on with their obsession. But if there were a way to monitor them, I doubt they could do it. Ironically, so many of them whine about the dishonesty of the main stream media (be it NBC on one side, or Fox on the other). And yet all they do is regurgitate talking points like a damn parrot. A very sad existence.
Some posters try to have some fun and throw out other topics or some fun-just-for-chuckles type things. I hear TCG brought up a lot as far as quantity of threads. But at least he throws out more National Enquirer type nonsense. Some of it's silly but at least it's better than the redundant crap that just keeps getting regurgitated.
Some of us just scroll on by for now with hopes that at some point, topics will go back to being varied again.
